Ladies’ Supper
– 12th November 2010
Whilst the
gentlemen were out imbibing at the Cricket Club Annual Dinner the Lady
Members of the Club attend their “Annual Super”.
For those of
you who are not aware, we have a Ladies’ Members Section which was formed
five seasons ago and now consist of some 70 vice presidents and lady
members who support the Club. For just £5.00 per annum you are most
welcome to become a member. For this you will receive invitations to the
various events organised by the Club but more importantly the money raised
goes to help develop cricket for the youngsters in Cowbridge. If you come
along on a Sunday morning you will see up to 60 boys and girls from as
young as 6 up to 15 being coached in cricketing skills.
Last year’s
Ladies’ Super was held at the Bear Hotel on Friday 12th
November. An excellent 3 Course Dinner was thoroughly enjoyed by about 40
ladies before their dutiful partners came to pick them up (some hope)!
This years
Ladies’ Supper is on Friday 11th November 2011. Further
information will be sent to Lady Members in due course.
